Investigation of Anxiety and Peritraumatic Distress Levels in Context of Various Variables through Covid-19 Outbreak: Turkey, the UK and the USA Comparison

The study aimed to gather socio-demographic information, compliance with personal/governmental precautionary measures from Turkish nationals (age 18 or older) reside in Turkey, the UK and USA investigate compare effects on peritraumatic distress anxiety levels within these coun-tries. Peritraumatic Stress Anxiety Levels are measured by Distress Inventory (PDI) State-Trait (STAI). 70 participants 63 67 have participated this causal-comparative study. According statistical analy-sis, even though there was no difference between three sample groups according STAI-State PDI scores; analysis showed that STAI-Trait points of Turkey were higher than other countries (p<.01). This identified variables such as being a woman, living alone, trusting official statements, positive test results relatives acquaintances factors affect level. However, differ when evaluated scope country-based responses. suggests level is affected more political decisions, preventive social environment rather common cultural characteristics.
